To work with SUB filesin Anycount, let’s get to know a little more about this format.
The SUB extension belongs to the MicroDVD subtitle format. Originally created for the MicroDVD Player program in 2000-2001, it is now one of the more widely supported DVD subtitle formats. It is extremely simple, using frame numbers rather than timecodes.

Word, Character, Line Counts for SUB files
Anycount will always count the subtitle text in SUB files. Optionally, you may also enable it to count the timecodes and descriptions found in the file. SUB files do not contain separate formatting information.
When counting of .SUB files is completed, you can:
view count results on the screen;
print count results;
export count results to .HTML, .DOCX, or .PDF formats.
