In this series of posts, we will tell you how to count words in PDF file. Here are all the ways on how to count words, characters, lines, paragraphs, and words in PDF files that we managed to find. We will start with one of the simplest and most common ways of word-count that most translators use. You’ve probably guessed what we are going to say, but if not, the following information will be useful for you.
To count words in PDF files, open the PDF file in your PDF Reader (there are many free tools on the Internet, you can download any of them).
Copy the text segment where you want to count words or copy all the text in the document. Double-click a word to select it. Click three times to choose a line or sentence (depends on software and your operating system). Click four times to select all the text. You can also click Control + A for Windows, or Command + A for MacOs to select all the text.
