About .ASS File Format
To work with ASS files in Anycount, let’s get to know a little more about this format.
ASS (Advanced SubStation Alpha) is the second proprietary subtitling format of the the SubStation Alpha subtitle editor, designed to be more advanced than the previous SSA format. Featuring expanded functionality, this format could be used for a wide array of subtitling tasks, from simple text to Karaoke graphics. Anycount will always count subtitle text in ASS files. Optionally, you may also enable it to count the timecodes, formatting and descriptions found in the file.
When counting of .ASS files is completed, you can:
- view count results on the screen;
- print count results;
- export count results to .HTML, .DOCX, or .PDF formats.
