About .890 File Format
To work with 890 files in Anycount, let’s get to know a little more about this format.
The subtitle format Scantitle uses the extension 890. Information about the original program that used this format is scarce. Currently, support for Scantitle is included in programs like ViPlay and Wild Media Server.

Word, Character, Line Counts for 890 files
Anycount will always count the subtitle text in 890 files. Optionally, you may also enable it to count the timecodes and descriptions found in the file. 890 files do not contain separate formatting information.
When counting of .890 files is completed, you can:
- view count results on the screen;
- print count results;
- export count results to .HTML, .DOCX, or .PDF formats.
